《一只叫凤的鸽子》是曹文轩在2014年写的文章。夏望与秋虎的友谊是贯穿全文的线索，而凤的一生推动情节的发展。

秋虎

他是一个善良，勇敢，正直的小男孩。他很小的时候父母就离婚了，跟爸爸长大。而爸爸是一个“不可救药”^[1]的赌徒，是秋虎缺少父母的爱。秋虎是整个城里最穷的人家^[2]，所以当它获得了“那只鸽子”，他的一生就发生了转变。而当他失去“凤 -- 他的鸽子” 他就 “他不住地呼唤着：“凤！凤！……”到了后来，呼唤变成了自言自语一般。”^[3]

夏望

他是一个善良，懂人情，为别人着想的人。虽然在文章的开头他很骄傲，但是在最后他还是愿意把风还给秋虎，从中能体现他的善良。^[4]
