History

On the tenth of Tevet 5551 (1991), in the words given by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson to his followers, he referred to the words of rabbis in Israel who were concerned with condemning non-religious Jews , and explained that such an occupation is not acceptable and even contrary to the requirements of Judaism. On this occasion he elaborated on the virtue of Israel. Following this, Rabbi Tovia Pels of Kfar Chabad decided to publish the words in Israel as well, and distributed the printout of the conversation that appeared in the Kfar Chabad newspaper and in thousands of copies throughout the country.

Since then, he began to regularly publish the weekly Torah words of the Lubavitcher Rabbi in a publication called "Daver Malchot".

After several weeks, the Rebbe ordered to come to talks with the management of the official book publishing house of Chabad - Kehot, so that the booklet would be published officially, with the publishing logo and its cover page.

In 12 Bayer 1591, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson distributed to the audience in his Beit Midrash the booklet 'Devar Malchot'. The publication included conversations from the Rebbe about matters of Messiah in the Torah of the Rambam. The publication was released on the occasion of the lanniversary of his brother, Rabbi Israel Aryeh Leib Schneerson.

Even after the Rebbe's passing, Rabbi Peles continued to publish the publication in a weekly format and included in it the Holy Talks of the Torah and meetings from previous years, in accordance with the regularities of the Hebrew calendar.

In the year 2005, the lessons of the Chitas were also added to the publication, in the year 2006 the lessons of the Rambam (Miomonidies) And in the year 2017 theHayom Yom (Today's day) And it began to be distributed in tens of thousands of copies that were distributed free all over Israel, following the great demand for the publication, the publication began to be released in large quantities.

At the end of 2021, a special edition of the publication was distributed temporarily on weekends to subscribers of the newspapers" Mekor Rishon Israel Hayom Yediot Ahronoth and Jerusalem Post.

Circulation

For many years the tycoon Lev Levev has been contributing to the printing and distribution. Leviev is close to Chabad Hassidism and was close to Tovia Peles, his name and surname appear at the end of the publication.

In 2013, the publication began to be sold at a subsidized amount and its circulation decreased from about 150 thousand sheets to about 70 thousand sheets per weekIn the same year, a private company , Davar Malchot Ltd., was opened. The publication is widely distributed and widely used, and was cited by Judge Eliakim Rubinstein in a High Court ruling.
