I've given the category description This category is for states commonly identified as "Rus' principalities" in English-language scholarly literature. for a reason. The group membership of certain states is sometimes disputed. Items should therefore be verifiable members of the group. At Talk:List of tribes and states in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine#Rus' principalities I've made a list. I'm going to categorise only those items which I have been able to verify as "Rus' principalities". We should not be engaging in WP:OR/WP:SYNTH here, and add or subtract items based on personal opinion. The consensus in English-language scholarly literature is our guiding principle.
