Why do we have the banner saying, "For convenience, all Mass shootings in the United States should be included in this category. This includes all the mass shootings by state and by year that can also be found in the subcategories." When/where was this decided? On second thought, looking at the examples under WP:DUPCAT like Category:Mountains of Switzerland, I can see how having all the members of the various sub-categories listed on the main category page might help readers navigate to their desired article(s). This is a little more difficult here because of the sheer number of mass shootings, but still potentially useful. --Sangdeboeuf (talk) 22:11, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
