Coverage
[edit]There are 10 pages in the category as I create it, nine book articles and one series article (Charlie and Lola). This constitutes full coverage in the following sense.
Through 2011/2012 there have been 55 Medals and 59 winning works (in 57 award cycles because [a] two books were cited four times, [b] there was no award twice). Our Table of winners now displays 13 bluelink titles but [c] two link to classic works whose articles do not mention or depict the Medal-winning edition, [d] one links to a stub for the book's film adaptation (a link I plan to undo even if I mention the book illustrator and award there). --P64 (talk) 00:00, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
- Momentarily this category includes a page in my User space and omits The Jolly Postman, which I am expanding to cover the Jolly Postman series whose second book won the Medal.
- Having completed work on all of the Greenaway Medal-winning illustrator biographies (31; there are 10 redlinks), I have provided a full update of that coverage at Category talk: Kate Greenaway Medal winners. --P64 (talk) 16:49, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
- After my second pass there are 14 articles in the category including three that do not focus on the Medal-winning book.
- * two series: Charlie and Lola; The Jolly Postman
- * one classic: The Highwayman (poem), which does cover the winning work
- At least one other does cover a series but focuses on the winning work (Pirate Diary). --P64 (talk) 19:24, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
