Powerhouses
[edit]Just wondering if Category:Hydroelectric power plants in British Columbia should be placed on dam articles, as it doesnt' seem likely (for now) that there will be many powerhouse articles separate from the dams; e.g. Revelstoke Canyon, WAC Bennett, etc- those articles talk about the powerhouses and generating capacitiess; I'm wary of placing this cat on a page titled/dedicated to dams as such, however....opinions?Skookum1 (talk) 03:56, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
Dams
[edit]The Wiki for dam starts with "A dam is a barrier that impounds water". Due to the unpopularity of dams, new construction is often run-of-the-river hydroelectricity. There are many new hydroelectric power stations that don't have a dam.Dougmcdonell (talk) 04:37, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
