Category name
[edit]This category needs a rename, at least to plural. We don't have any categories yet on the Garo people: that might be a good alternative name, rather than a category just on their festivals, which is unlikely to contain many articles. Wikishovel (talk) 00:03, 5 September 2023 (UTC)

- That's about notable Garo individuals, which makes sense. I don't know enough about the ethnic subdivisions to propose a category name for the group they belong to, or even what the parent cat should be, so I'll just leave it for now. Thanks for the speedy rename to plural. Wikishovel (talk) 07:04, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- Is it? It has an eponymous article Garo people.

- Ah so it has, and you added this as a subcat of that a few hours ago. Fine, nothing else to do here, thanks. Wikishovel (talk) 11:13, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- I had a feeling you might reply that way. There are other "people" categories with such eponymous articles. The word "people" is ambiguous - it can refer to, well, a people, or a person. A few examples: Category:Limbu people, Category:Khas people, Category:Konkani people. Gjs238 (talk) 12:08, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
