If North America for the purpose of this section includes present day mexico, shouldn't the Aztec Empire be included? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.72.54.34 (talk) 16:19, 3 March 2008 (UTC) This list omits the Republic of Rough and Ready, discussed in the entry for Rough and Ready, California. One might also argue for Hawaii, both Kingdom and Republic, since it is now part of the United States, although geographically arguably not really part of North America.Tham153 (talk) 22:55, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
