Be consistent

Use a "standard" layout for atheism-related articles (see layout style, "The perfect article" and Featured articles).
Add Atheism info box to all atheism related talk pages (use {{WikiProject Atheism}} or see info box)
Ensure atheism-related articles are members of Atheism by checking whether [[Category:Atheism]] has been added to atheism-related articles – and, where it hasn't, adding it.

Maintenance, etc.

Find sources for all positions of an article (see Citing sources and atheism references).
Try to expand stubs. Ideas and theories about life, however, are prone to generating neologisms, so some stubs may be suitable for deletion (see deletion process).
Watch the list of atheism-related articles and add to accordingly.
Always write for an encyclopedia.

Dave Sim used to be an atheist, but he's now following a unique form of monotheism. I believe he should be added to this category.

If this is so he should maybe be added to List of former atheists and agnostics. (I know "proponents of atheism" is a weird name, but it was someone else's idea to rename it that.)--T. Anthony 06:29, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He was a former atheist or agnostic yes. However his article had so many categories I wasn't sure if he needed another. Still you can make the call.--T. Anthony 06:17, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am busy removing people from this category for whom their former atheist or agnostic world view is not a defining characteristic but I have not finished. See pending Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2007_July_23#People_by_former_religion. Andries 13:17, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
