Opposed speedy move request
[edit]- Category:Directly elected mayors in England and Wales to Category:Directly elected mayors in England – C2D: with Directly elected mayors in England — RAVENPVFF · talk · 17:43, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- Procedural oppose, this should be a merge to Category:Directly elected mayors of places in England and besides this will only work properly if the subcategories are renamed to "in England" too, but that would require full discussion. Marcocapelle (talk) 22:03, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Marcocapelle: It appears that a distinction is being made between directly elected mayors of places (e.g. London) and directly elected mayors of regions (e.g. Greater Manchester), which I think is probably worth keeping, although maybe a new subcategory might be warranted for the latter. No objection to renaming the existing subcats to match. — RAVENPVFF · talk · 16:56, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
