Scope of the topic
[edit]I don't believe you have a proper handle on the meaning of the term "scientific controversies". This means theories about which scientists might reasonably disagree; so an astronomical controversy might be, for example Definition of planet. It does not refer to any topic related to astronomy or spaceflight (which is not concerned just with the science of astronomy, but is an engineering topic concerned with transportation) which might just happen to have a "controversy" (usually political in nature.) It is also concerned with sciences other than astronomy (e.g. geology, astrophysics, etc.) Therefore:
- the two topics ("astronomical controversies" and "spaceflight controversies") should not be merged together;
- the following topics are inappropriate for either category: Criticism of the Space Shuttle program -- Space debris (Why is this controversial? No one thinks it is a good thing.) -- Sputnik crisis -- Category:Space accidents and incidents (Again, no controversy; no one thinks accidents are good.)
