Zeynep Sönmez defeated Ann Li in the final, 6–2, 6–1 to win the singles title at the 2024 Mérida Open.[1] It was her first WTA Tour title. Sönmez became the second Turkish woman to win a main tour singles title, and first since Çağla Büyükakçay in 2016.[2]

Camila Giorgi was the reigning champion,[3] but she retired from professional tennis in May 2024.[4]
