The 2024–25 Plunket Shield was the 96th season of the Plunket Shield, the domestic first-class cricket competition that is played in New Zealand. The tournament started on 11 November 2024, and the final round of matches began on 1 April 2025.[1][2] Wellington are the defending champions, having won their 22th title the previous year.[3]
