American college football season
The 2017 Dakota State Trojans football team represented Dakota State University as a member of the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) during the 2017 NAIA football season .[ 1] Led by ninth-year head coach Josh Anderson , the Trojans compiled an overall record of 8–3 with a mark of 6–2 in conference play, placing second in the NSAA.[ 2] [ 3] Dakota State played home games at Trojan Field in Madison, South Dakota .[ 4] The Trojans finished the season ranked No. 23 in the NAIA .[ 5]
