American college football season
The 2016 Dakota State Trojans football team represented Dakota State University as a member of the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) during the 2016 NAIA football season.[1] Led by eighth-year head coach Josh Anderson, the Trojans compiled an overall record of 6–4 with a mark of 3–3 in conference play, placing in a three-way tie for third in the NSAA.[2][3] Dakota State played home games at Trojan Field in Madison, South Dakota.
