The 1935-36 Maltese FA Trophy was the 2nd edition of the football cup competition, the FA Trophy. Sliema Wanderers were the defending champions, and they retained the trophy.
The cup's format was changed from the first edition, with the biggest teams Sliema Wanderers, Floriana, and Hibernians all receiving byes to the semi-finals. The remaining five teams were put into a mini-tournament to decide the fourth semi-finalist.[1]
