The 1786 Virginia gubernatorial election was held on 30 November 1786 in order to elect the Governor of Virginia. Incumbent Attorney General of Virginia Edmund Randolph won the election in the Virginia General Assembly as he ran unopposed.

General election

On election day, 30 November 1786, Edmund Randolph easily won the election as he ran unopposed. Randolph was sworn in as the 7th Governor of Virginia on 1 December 1786.[1]
