Zahra (Arabic: الزهراء) is an area in Hawalli Governorate in Kuwait.[1] It is divided into eight blocks. Zahra is part of the lager South Surra region which comprises four other areas: Shuhada, Siddeeq, Salām, and Ḥiṭṭīn The 360 Mall is one of Zahra's prominent attractions. Zahra is also home to many government agencies and administrations.
Population
[edit]Zahra's population recorded at 30 June 1990 estimates that only 70 lived in the district. Over the next five years, Zahra's population was estimated at 84 people, a rise of only 14 people. In June of 2000, Zahra's population was 218. However, by 2005, Zahra's population grew exponentially to 3,451. In 2010, an estimated 13,000 people live in the area. In 2015, that number rose to 24,471. As of June of 2023, the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) estimates that 38,541 lived in the area.[2]
