On July 21, 2019, the Giants selected Green's contract and promoted him to the major leagues for the first time.[6][7] He made his major league debut that day versus the New York Mets.[8] In eight games for the Giants, Green went 2–for–14 (.143) with no home runs and one RBI. On November 4, he was removed from the 40–man roster and sent outright to Triple–A, after which he elected free agency. Green subsequently re–signed with San Francisco on a minor league contract.[9]
