Willem J. Koops (born 24 October 1973) is a Dutch lawyer and politician of New Social Contract (NSC).

Early life and career

Koops was born in 1973 in Delfzijl.[1] He worked as a lawyer starting in 2002, representing among others real estate entrepreneurs Rudy Stroink and Roger Lips [nl].[2][3]

He ran for the House of Representatives in November 2023 as NSC's 25th candidate, but he was not elected as his party won 20 seats. Koops became a member of parliament on 3 December 2024 after Femke Zeedijk resigned because of his position on the party list.[4]

Personal life

As of 2024, Koops lived in The Hague.[1]
