Robert William Brooks (born October 25, 2001) is an American football safety for the Tennessee Volunteers.

Early life and high school

Brooks attended Vestavia Hills High School located in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. Coming out of high school, Brooks decided to join the Tennessee Volunteers football team as a walk-on.[1][2]

College career

In Brooks's first four collegiate seasons from 2020 through 2023, he appeared in 39 games, where he notched 23 tackles with one being for a loss, and a pass deflection.[3][4][5][6] In week two of the 2024 season, Brooks intercepeted a pass which he returned 85 yards for a touchdown, as he helped the Volunteers to a win over the NC State Wolfpack.[7] In week eight, Brooks notched eight tackles with one being for a loss, and the game sealing interception, as he helped Tennessee upset rivals Alabama. For his performance vs the Crimson Tide, Brooks was named the Walk-On player of the week.[8][9]
