[edit]OK, how about from:
- Before too long, we hope, the principal contributors to Mario Vargas Llosa and The General in His Labyrinth will also have the privilege of seeing their work, too, on the main page.

Better? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:24, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Grand. I adapted a version of that. --jbmurray (talk • contribs) 19:36, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Looks good (do you want to have both "also" and "too" in that sentence?) SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:37, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Heh. Thanks for the catch. Though now it's up to Tony to tear my precious prose to pieces. ;) --jbmurray (talk • contribs) 19:41, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Tony has been so busy that I was considering not pinging him as I usually do on the Dispatch. Will see if he comes to on his own :-) SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:53, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Image ?
[edit]I'm not creative, but they always help. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:27, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah. I'm not image-inspired right now, though. --jbmurray (talk • contribs) 19:36, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Tony may come up with something; he seems to be into that lately :-) SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:37, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- If I come up with anything, I'll holler. --jbmurray (talk • contribs) 19:41, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Concern
[edit]The article links to User:Globalecon/Global Economics, userspace. The user controls that space; that table could be deleted, no? Shouldn't it be somewhere durable, so this article endures? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 21:50, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Also, we could use some more data. How many of those Econ articles ended in AfD, how many in speedy deletes, how many merges, how many of the MMM students are still editing Wiki, things like that. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 22:24, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Would also be interested in seeing a sample of Global Econ's best work. Is there any article that doesn't have cleanup tags? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 22:41, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Found Organ trade, but of the seven marked as "good examples", one is at AfD and another has a merge tag. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 22:45, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Probably Economics of the FIFA World Cup or NAFTA's impact on US employment in terms of total improvement. The " Good example" was a rather relative term here. Best, --Bfigura (talk) 23:25, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Summary
[edit]Tables aren't really my strong suit, but at present, I count a total of 69:
- 12 Speedied
- 17 AfD'd
- 11 Redirected
- 5 Prod'd (and not yet deleted)
- 9 Merged, or tagged for merger
- 3 Moved to userspace
- 7 Listed as Good examples
- 5 Remaining in userspace without merger proposals (as either subsections of articles, or entire articles)
Cheers, --Bfigura (talk) 23:20, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks ! I'll do a rough summary here (nothing too precise, since it's still fluid). SandyGeorgia (Talk) 23:23, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- PS: I get 69 since I'm not counting the 1 essay that never got uploaded and the one that we think was part of the class, but was never officially listed. Cheers, --Bfigura (talk) 23:27, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
