Essay proposal on articles relating to criminal acts

I want to propose an essay on articles relating to criminal acts, and in particular those concerning murder. Following a recent AFD debate and other concerns with "murder of" articles, I feel it is important to establish some clear guidelines on the issue of articles of this nature. Far too many "murder of" articles seem to appear here within a relatively short time of the event's occurrence, and the majority end up in the AFD pile where there is an endless debate about their notability. To this end, I've put together a draft on the subject based on current policy and comments made at the AFD, which could be used as a basis. I would welcome any thoughts on this. New essays

I've recently started writing a few essays to document my experiences on Wikipedia, putting a humorous slant on them, as I genuinely believe that funny things with a serious message behind them are more likely to get read and remembered, using WP:STICK as a kind of starting point. I started writing Wikipedia:Don't come down like a ton of bricks and realised it was similar to Wikipedia:Avoid rancor, so I merged the two together. I did the same think for Wikipedia:It's not the End of the World and Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not that important, and I dare say Wikipedia:Don't throw your toys out of the pram has a "serious" equivalent on here (probably WP:CIVIL or something linked from that).

I've kind of done all of this in isolation, and aside from the odd tweak, most of the essays have just sat there without much feedback on whether the essays are any good or not. I just want to know if I'm going down the right path in doing them. I don't think I'll be creating any more than those three, as there's no other topic that springs to mind, but I'd like to see if I can improve them over time.
