Tring to find info and don't know where better to ask

[edit]

I know that strictly this page is for discussion of this project, but I have spent a lot of time trying to find what should be a simple to find piece of info and can't find it anywhere; please help if you can. I already asked this question of a busy person at Wikidata because that seemed like a good idea, but got no answer yet. I need to know what the Pn for the description of entities on Wikidata is. For example; the description of Buke and Gase is "American musical duo"; what is the Pn for that property please? Fred Gandt · talk · contribs 07:17, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you will eventually get the (same) answer from them. There is nothing like Pn (or "Pid") for descriptions. They are stored as descriptions, not claims/statements, and therefore have no Pn. So {{Uses Wikidata}} is not applicable here (unless you can indicate the usage another way). --Matěj Suchánek (talk) 14:25, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, well, thank you. Fred Gandt · talk · contribs 16:37, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Wikidata redirect listed at Requested moves

[edit]

A requested move discussion has been initiated for Template:Wikidata redirect to be moved to Template:Soft redirect with Wikidata item. This page is of interest to this WikiProject and interested members may want to participate in the discussion here. —RMCD bot 07:33, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

To opt out of RM notifications on this page, transclude {{bots|deny=RMCD bot}}, or set up Article alerts for this WikiProject.

An editor has requested for Category:Wikidata redirects to be moved to Category:Redirects connected intentionally to a Wikidata item. Since you had some involvement with :Category:Wikidata redirects, you might want to participate in the move discussion (if you have not already done so). Wikidata weekly summary #643

[edit]

Wikidata weekly summary #643 includes this markup:

[https://w.wiki/B3SQ {{langSwitch|en=French nuclear tests map with their power in kt|fr=Carte des essais nucléaires français avec puissances en kt}} ]

and as {{langSwitch}} does not exist, this generates a Links in links lint error. Why did this happen? How is the Wikidata weekly summary generated? Who is going to edit the 60 affected talk pages to make these lint errors go away? —Anomalocaris (talk) 20:00, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I left a message for Mohammed Abdulai (WMDE), who appears to have sent the message. Per T358818, they should have received a warning message before sending the message. – Jonesey95 (talk) 20:31, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Issue appears to have been addressed today. All errors cleared. Thanks! Zinnober9 (talk) 22:34, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
