NYT article

For those interested: https://www.lapatilla.com/2019/05/02/nyt-los-documentos-secretos-de-venezuela-sobre-tareck-el-aissami/ ----ZiaLater (talk) 19:07, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

Both the English and Spanish versions are at Talk:Tareck El Aissami. I was hoping to interest Cyfraw in updating the El Aissami matter there, as Cyfraw is good at BLP work. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 13:35, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm trying my best to do it. Right now, I'm a bit busy. But I'll be ready. --cyrfaw (talk) 16:18, 3 May 2019 (UTC)

Las Ballenas

Not sure where to put this, but it seems to be useful info for a protest article:

SandyGeorgia (Talk) 14:49, 3 May 2019 (UTC)

I think I saw a NYT article about this. Let me check. --MaoGo (talk) 15:27, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
There's a NYT report on this whose video was uploaded in Commons and is included in the Norinco article. --Jamez42 (talk) 16:50, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
Wow. I generally don't find media very effective on Wikipedia, but that's just awesome. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:08, 3 May 2019 (UTC)

30 April update

The article 2019 Venezuelan protests needs an update. I might do it, if you have any good large-picture sources of 30 April, 1,2,3 May leave them here. --MaoGo (talk) 12:37, 3 May 2019 (UTC)

I spoke too fast, my weekend is not so free and this will take some time. Also a lot of my energies went into the Uprising discussion (and at some point I should read the Sanctions_Weisbrot discussion).--MaoGo (talk) 16:59, 4 May 2019 (UTC)

Message of support

Dear Venezuelan(y) users: Take two minutes to breath and clear the mind. Done? (Seriously do it) We are having the longest and messiest discussions in the Venezuelan articles since the beginning of the 2019 crisis. Remember January? when media outlets were focused on Wikipedia because of the struggling edit wars on Guaido's article? That was nothing compared to now. I hope the heat goes out soon and we can write more while solving articles issues in a more calm environment. For the moment, be smart, follow the WP:Guidelines and care for your mental health. Best regards.--MaoGo (talk) 16:28, 7 May 2019 (UTC)

Very nice message, MaoGo! But, editors are not weighing in on talk page discussions, and I do not want to keep pinging people. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:13, 8 May 2019 (UTC)

Other news to be followed

Waiting on RS for this Phantom boats (Armando.info) --MaoGo (talk) 06:49, 10 May 2019 (UTC)

Armando.info is a reliable source, they do an amazing job on corruption investigations, but because of their content it is advisable to use secondary sources. --Jamez42 (talk) 08:50, 10 May 2019 (UTC)

Translations

I have been thinking this for a while: could a cooperation be started to translate articles about Venezuela in Spanish and vice versa? I usually create articles in Spanish rather than in English, and in sight of the activity that there has been I supposed it could be notified each time an article is created; I guess it would be sort of like reactivating the Requested articles tab. It would be interesting doing the same thing viceversa, and we have a new articles tab to keep track of Venezuelan articles. --Jamez42 (talk) 18:17, 8 May 2019 (UTC)

If you all can do it, great, but I rarely translate from es.wiki becaue it is too poorly sourced. I really prefer to start over, using the highest quality English-language sources I can find; that is faster for me, anyway. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:23, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
If we had more collaboration with Spanish editors this would be nice. Pinging Oscar ..--MaoGo (talk) 18:55, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
Translations of what kind? Of politics, culture, geography? What Sandy is saying is a problem, but we can see problem of lack of sources in articles of Venezuela in English, we, as a society have an structural problem of lack of sources, specially online sources around so much topics that makes really difficult to start a new articles, in that sense Wikipedia has become the 'de facto' source in many fields, and we have seen the backlash of that this year with the censorship.
One of our first projects back in 2014 was translate Wikipedia, we can do something similar with more oversight over quality this time around. --Oscar_. (talk) 23:29, 8 May 2019 (UTC)

I started a "2019" section, which includes the articles that I have started this year, mostly about politics. The majority of them are stubs, so it should be fairly easy to translate, to any who might be interested. --Jamez42 (talk) 18:43, 17 May 2019 (UTC)

more news

So the news that are missing now are:

Where do we cover these? I already covered the AN blockade in the censorship article, but it is such an arbitrary event that I do not know if it deserves more coverage. --MaoGo (talk) 09:29, 16 May 2019 (UTC)

Also there is the AN chavistas that are helping with the quorum like this Diputado oficialista Fernando Orozco se incorporó a la Asamblea Nacional (El Nacional), if we have more sources a line or two would not hurt in the defections article. --MaoGo (talk) 10:50, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
And another report on how Weisbrot-Sachs report is misleading Impact of the 2017 sanctions on Venezuela (Bahar, Bustos, Morales, Santos; Brookings institution). Blog post here--MaoGo (talk) 12:08, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
Also, is it me, or are you also finding that there is a hole in English news about Simonovis escape? I am waiting before adding details in the Uprising/presidential crisis article because of this. --MaoGo (talk) 11:38, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
These are the sources that I have found:
@Jamez42: I do not claim there is no coverage, but too little coverage. None of what I checked talk about Guaidó's pardon. Sadly, I cannot access the WSJ :-( [Hey I think that article is from 2014] We need to cover this article correctly because it is part of Operation Freedom. --MaoGo (talk) 14:43, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
Oh, I didn't mean to claim that! I found little coverage too, so I hope those links help; you're also right! I'm striking the 2014 source. --Jamez42 (talk) 14:55, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
I am two weeks behind, but hope to catch up this weekend (I have some medical editing I must catch up on first). SandyGeorgia (Talk) 14:58, 17 May 2019 (UTC)

Another Efecto Cocuyo infograph [2] on the members of the National Assembly --MaoGo (talk) 23:22, 18 May 2019 (UTC)

I also shared these infographics in the Spanish Wikipedia:
Cool. I really like nice infographics. Do you think a table like the one in Hispano post could be useful in the National Assembly article?--MaoGo (talk) 10:19, 19 May 2019 (UTC)
Sure! My proposal in the Spanish Wikipedia was to create a section in the 4th National Assembly period article, but I think it's very important to start it soon because of the recent indictments against the deputies, as well as the incoming parliamentary elections. --Jamez42 (talk) 10:51, 19 May 2019 (UTC)

When I come across news that needs to be incorporated, I email the link to myself. Having had a busy two weeks, I now have 35 reliable sources that need to be added, including the new Amnesty International report, and more. @MaoGo: let me know what you need from Wall Street Journal, as I have free access to ProQuest and can get it there. I will put info you need at User:SandyGeorgia/sandbox, so watch there. I dearly hope to be able to start catching up this afternoon, but real life has not been cooperating! And I have two medical articles I must update ... hopefully this week, things will settle down on the home front. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:21, 19 May 2019 (UTC)

@SandyGeorgia: no problem. News have become stale again (aside from the news peak on Thursday), take your time. Could you check if there is some report on Simonovis on the WSJ? --MaoGo (talk) 15:26, 19 May 2019 (UTC)
@MaoGo:, editing from hotspot on my phone in car ... will do when home ... remind me if I forget? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:35, 19 May 2019 (UTC)
Ok. Do not miss to check some of the other sources here provided. Best regards.--MaoGo (talk) 15:47, 19 May 2019 (UTC)

I updated some (Rodriguez, 9t gold, NGO aid). Some I do not know how to deal with them, which sections should cover the AN blockade, Mastercard/Visa or the US flights cancelled? Some I prefer to avoid because they have to be treated more carefully. I would try to update more where I can. Also do not forget to take a look at Impact of the 2017 sanctions on Venezuela (Bahar, Bustos, Morales, Santos; Brookings institution). --MaoGo (talk) 13:06, 22 May 2019 (UTC)

A-class review

Stepping away from politics (as much as possible, at least), I was thinking of opening an A-class review. Articles that are A-class are the step between GA and FA, meaning they should be very good; this is typically decided in review at the appropriate WikiProject. I'm thinking of putting Un célebre especialista sacando muelas en el gran Hotel Europa up for FA when I have the time to go through the process fully. After being made a GA, it has seen a peer review with all the points actioned, as well as some other touch-ups, so I think an A-class rating is not out of the question while I prepare for FA nom. For anyone who would like to take a look, A-class criteria is here. We could also set up a review process at WP:Venezuela/Assessments, if there's a level of interest in expanding Venezuela articles. TIAR

I am working on the Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance (TIAR) news. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:23, 8 May 2019 (UTC)

sources say NA approved rejoining TIAR, Instagram posts say no, only approved passing resolution to commission ???? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:22, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
This is still outside my radar/sources. I only know the AN discussed the treaty. --MaoGo (talk) 19:34, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
The parliamentary 16 July Fraction denounced a "burocratic dilation to rejoin TIAR", although I haven't had the time to listen to the declaration. Those are the deputies that support the most a military intervention and believe that actions should be taken quickly, having a sense of urgency. Speaking of which, I should mention that Vice President of the National Assembly Edgar Zambrano was arrested more than an hour ago. --Jamez42 (talk) 00:20, 9 May 2019 (UTC)
@Jamez42: I am not sure what your answer is. I already added the TIAR rejoining to the pres crisis article; do I need to delete it? Is there a controversy? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 00:22, 9 May 2019 (UTC)
From what I gather and what I have read, they think the process is not being done fast enough, but from what I know this process has already started. After getting some sleep, tomorrow I'm expecting to be better informed :) --Jamez42 (talk) 00:26, 9 May 2019 (UTC)
I finally managed to listened to it. The deputies basically state that instead of being approved right away, the request was delegated to the Committee of Foreign Affairs. I think that it's alright to say that the process started, I'm not sure if more sources have continued commenting on this. --Jamez42 (talk) 17:34, 9 May 2019 (UTC)

@SandyGeorgia: If I'm not mistaken the proposal was officially approved by the Assembly this Wednesday. --Jamez42 (talk) 17:57, 17 May 2019 (UTC)

@SandyGeorgia: I got mistaken, what was approved was the re-entry in the San José Pact, the Inter-American Convention of Human Rights, with the vote of four dissident chavistas. --Jamez42 (talk) 22:08, 19 May 2019 (UTC)

@SandyGeorgia: as you may have known already, the TIAR was approved yesterday, should we open the hidden texts you left in the articles? Tweet --MaoGo (talk) 15:33, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

Inflation according to the BCV (2019)

So the Central Bank just published some results. Where does this information go? I am thinking Crisis in Venezuela and Economy of Venezuela, anywhere else? Also does somebody usually handles this kind of info?--MaoGo (talk) 15:45, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

If the numbers are real or not, it is amazing that the numbers are higher than the BS Forbes numbers wanted us to believe. --MaoGo (talk) 15:48, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
I ask for help because there are many tables and data that has to be handled properly and CAREFULLY. --MaoGo (talk) 15:57, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
"The IMF does not trust in the quality of the numbers given by the Central Bank". In any case, this is historic now that it's been near three years since official estimates were given. --Jamez42 (talk) 12:36, 31 May 2019 (UTC)

Thanks James, I have updated accordingly. My only fear now is that those updates are used to update the tables (before validity from any sources) but yet again, even with those numbers it is a huge crisis. --MaoGo (talk) 14:32, 31 May 2019 (UTC)

@Jamez42: Thanks. I suggest that we create an article for this with the right references. What about List of ambassadors of Guaidó's administration or is it too much to create list just for this? --MaoGo (talk) 09:37, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
I would love to have a seperate article. I remember some time ago the addition was disputed because of the disagreement where to add the list. Back then there was a suggestion to create an article such as "Presidency of Juan Guaidó" or something similar. In any case, I suggest that if we create an article of the list, we also create a section about the date of the appointments, and possibly a brief background of the ambassadors. --Jamez42 (talk) 10:08, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
Agree, but I cannot get the name of the article right. Most of the diplomats that already have an article need a broader description of the Presidential crisis to avoid Neutrality templates. --MaoGo (talk) 10:40, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
A list of Ambassadors of Venezuela (with Maduro and Guaidó diplomats) could solve the issue. But it would be a pain to update.--MaoGo (talk) 11:31, 27 May 2019 (UTC)

Nuclear power in Venezuela

In the vogue of the Chernobyl (miniseries), it would be nice to create an article about RV-1 Nuclear Reactor [es], first of Latin America. Here I leave a good source in English [12]. I will try to update Nuclear power in Venezuela accordingly.--MaoGo (talk) 12:47, 18 June 2019 (UTC)

Nuclear energy in Venezuela, updated.--MaoGo (talk) 14:26, 18 June 2019 (UTC)
I started a draft for RV-1 nuclear reactor. I have found some issues
  • Sources in English exist (but are not online)
  • The claim that RV-1 is the first nuclear reactor of Latin America, as stated by Sociedad nuclear de Venezuela and the IVIC, seems vague as RA-1 Enrico Fermi exists.
  • Marcel Roche has many important articles about the reactor (see the two at the end of page 24 here [13]) but are not online
  • Newspaper articles about the renewal of the reactor are no longer accesible (El Nacional/Universal 2001)
I hope somebody can provide an insight into any of this problems.--MaoGo (talk) 14:20, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

Good sources for local Venezuelan coverage

This has been transcluded from User:Kingsif/Venezuelan sources. The relevant talk page is here.

  1. Efecto Cocuyo - founded by independent female journalists who have all been threatened by the government, its director has won a press freedom award and was one of the "Guardians" profiled as TIME Person of the Year 2018. Furthermore, no area of the country or news story seems too small, meaning they likely have coverage of just about anything, with multiple updates daily and an easy-to-navigate site.
  2. La Patilla - one of the most popular websites in Venezuela, operated by the former CEO of Globovisión, but regularly censored so may be inaccessible.
  3. Prodavinci - this is the "one-stop shop" for analytical journalism by politicians, historians, and various other professionals; it also has quite a strict attitude against opinion pieces.
  4. El Pitazo - its director is widely seen as the best journalist in the country, it does cover daily news but is more notable for its award-winning long form multimedia reports on the state of the nation; this is particularly good for statistics and analysis.
  5. Armando.Info - investigative journalism in Venezuela cannot be beat by independent site armando.info - they're the Bellingcat of the country.
  6. El Nacional - comprehensive in all areas, respected internationally.
  7. El Universal - very similar to El Nacional.
  8. VPItv - a sidekick to the large rebel alliance, with the downside that as a largely video-based service (operating mostly on YouTube when it becomes inevitably blocked) it may not always be seen as reputable.
  9. Caracas Chronicles - technically a blog, but run by respected journalists and often has interviews with people in the news, and it's all in English.
  10. Cinco8 - CC's Spanish-language sister.
  11. Tal Cual
  12. El Nuevo Herald and Miami Herald - Miami based newspapers that have good coverage of the diaspora in the area.
  13. Runrunes
  14. El Estímulo
  15. VIVOplay
  16. Voice of America & Voz de América - note that there are two fields of coverage in Venezuela, one that is independently run, and the other which has its main presenter/host who also explores Madurismo perspectives. However, he's a good journalist and handles it neutrally, so this only needs to be given a question of bias (rather than avoiding).
  17. Aporrea - government supportive but, in news (avoid the opinion pieces), it does not have the insert of opinion that other Maduro-supporting sources do, so is more reliable than those for plain information on government-aligned people. Has had more editorial independence recently, so it shouldn't be completely ruled out of unbiased consideration.

The numbers are not an indication of ranking, but to allow for identification; however, Aporrea placed at the bottom may be considered the least reliable. Most sources, on this list, will be of a standard "reliable" rating where they are equal - those closer to the top may be easier to access for those outside of Venezuela. This list only includes sources with a Wikipedia page, allowing users to visit the page and further inform themselves on how reliable they believe it may be.

How to make more people involved?

I find Wikiprojects very useful. You meet users that know the subject and get alerts related to articles that have problems. The problem is that the average newcomer does not know about it. I got into Wikiprojects during a discussion that ping me to one of the projects. What do you think should be a good way to make this project more active and reachable? Do you advice against making ad-like messages to users we find valuable? --MaoGo (talk) 21:52, 21 July 2019 (UTC)

Ad-like messages might work, I don't think they're a bad thing at all. If you want something to send out, invitation templates are good - this is one I made on the suggestion of Jamez42 that's quite simple, so it would only need some tweaks to work for this if you wanted to send one out. On Bachelet visit

I just updated 2019 Venezuelan presidential crisis on Bachelet visit [15]. I added two things which maybe need better confirmation: (1) Bachelet didn't come alone, did she? I thought it was a commission with her but English sources do not reflect that. (2) According to Bloomberg, Bachelet said that recent sanctions have worsened the country, but they started in 2003, do you got any other source on that? --MaoGo (talk) 15:53, 22 June 2019 (UTC)

I've made some minor changes for correctness, so as not to confuse people. And:
1. She didn't come alone, but English-language sources (based on socio linguistics of the UK and US) generally reduce a unit to its figurehead (i.e. calling the Republicans "Trump" or the EU "Juncker")
2. Bloomberg is reliable, in case it isn't anywhere else
Kingsif (talk) 16:33, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for the edit, my comment was written in a rush. (1) I changed the wording in the article [16] because I cannot find a source that sustains that claim. (2) Bloomberg is reliable, but maybe they meant "2013"? I also changed the wording on that for the moment [17]. --MaoGo (talk) 17:20, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
(edit conflict) When Bachelet held the meeting with the political prisoners, she is seen with other persons. She also mentioned that two officials would stay in Venezuela to continue receiving complaints of human rights violations, but I don't know if there are specifics of wherever she was accompanied with UNHCHR officials or simply escorts, and I'm not sure if there are details regarding this on the media or if there will be.
During her press conference, Bachelet said Me preocupa que las sanciones impuestas este año por Estados Unidos sobre las exportaciones de petróleo y el comercio de oro están exacerbando y agravando la preexistente crisis económica., "I worry that the sanctions imposed this year by the United States on oil exports and gold trade is worsening the preexisting economic crisis." This is essentially the same position stated in the oral report given months ago, where she expresses concern but recognizes that the crisis precedes the sanctions. --Jamez42 (talk) 17:23, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
For comparison here is Bloomberg quote: " 'The causes of this economic crisis, exacerbated dramatically since 2003, are diverse,' Bachelet said. 'I worry that the sanctions imposed this year on oil and gold exports are exacerbating and aggravating the pre-existent economic crisis.' "--MaoGo (talk) 17:27, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
I have the speech transcript now, it was indeed 2013 "The causes of this immense economic crisis, which has been increasing dramatically from at least 2013, " [18].--MaoGo (talk) 17:38, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
I missed that, the Spanish transcript says the same. --Jamez42 (talk) 17:44, 22 June 2019 (UTC)

Bloomberg corrected the year [19], now it says 2013.--MaoGo (talk) 14:27, 24 June 2019 (UTC)  Done --MaoGo (talk) 14:39, 1 August 2019 (UTC)

Updates Mid-August

I was unable to follow the news (and Wikipedia) for a few days, here are a couple of things that may need to be included:

  • More legislator stripped of their immunity Associated Press
  • Last US sanctions
  • Turkish bank closes door to Venezuela Bloomberg
  • WaPo states that Maduro is proposing presidential elections in exchange of having the sanctions removed
  • Journalist Wilmer Quintana García from La Verdad is arrested for Facebook posts CPJ
  • PetroChina cancelled a deal with Venezuela Bloomberg

Anything else I might have missed? Are any of these already included somewhere? --MaoGo (talk) 08:28, 18 August 2019 (UTC)

Carlos Cruz-Diez is still missing

A serious copyright infringement was found in Carlos Cruz-Diez article the day of his death. How can we look up if somebody is doing something about it? if not, a new article from scratch is necessary. It is very disappointing that the article is unavailable after the death of such an important figure. --MaoGo (talk) 11:27, 3 September 2019 (UTC)

There's a page for copyright infringement checking, someone will be on it within a few months. Within the report, on the page, you can see what sources are under investigation - you can then do a check yourself and remove that source and info if necessary. Kingsif (talk) 17:10, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
@MaoGo: I have also left a comment on the report page, which may make it quicker. Kingsif (talk) 21:39, 8 September 2019 (UTC)

Idea: WP VEN improvement edit-a-thon/contest

When updating selections for the Venezuela portal, I've noticed that there are very few featured and good quality Venezuela-related articles - and some of these are barely related at all. So I thought, to promote improvements to the pages covered by the Wikiproject, we could have an edit-a-thon or contest (examples by other WP's) for quality improvements to articles. Incentives could be userbox icons based on how many classes you've improves articles by collectively - classes because it's easy to rack up 10 already ok articles where cleaning layout takes it from C to B-class, but it's harder to get a stub article to B class. And, because this would ideally be ongoing, perhaps a different theme of article every month to keep it interesting?

Pinging all active and semi-active members for feedback: @AVM, Decltype, Monni95, SandyGeorgia, Wilfredor, Razr Nation, AntonioMartin, Leanex77, Oscar ., ZiaLater, Dainshku, Yv1hx, Gabrielsanz, OliverDF, Jamez42, BiggestSataniaFanboy89, Vami IV, Naturista2018, Coffee312, Enmanuel, MetricSupporter89, MaoGo, Cyfraw, Viva Nicolás, Bradford, and Hasley:

About the edit-thon, I guess I would love the idea if it falls in a particular week when I am not very busy
An idea that would be nice too, would be an article of the week/month that displays here to raise awareness and concern over less well known articles. --MaoGo (talk) 06:31, 9 September 2019 (UTC)
Hey, yes, we already have the noticeboard that gives one unreferenced biography and one important article that isn't a GA or above each month. But most of the time it's very easy for to at least add some refs to the biography and half the below-GA articles aren't appropriately rated in the first place, so it's not a particularly useful tool for improvements. There may be a better way to select and promote these to improve the quality of Venezuela-related content! Kingsif (talk) 10:33, 9 September 2019 (UTC)
Very good idea for that! I contributed like this such as the Wikipedia Asian Month in 2016. --cyrfaw (talk) 17:56, 9 September 2019 (UTC)
This has had some very positive responses! If I start building a subpage, does anyone have any ideas for what topics would get a lot of engagement? Kingsif (talk) 20:41, 9 September 2019 (UTC)
Yes, I might come up some new ones. But it will take some time to do it. For the Wikipedia Asian month in 2016, I contributed 3-4 good articles during the drive. --cyrfaw (talk) 21:02, 9 September 2019 (UTC)

I've created the subpage: Wikipedia:WikiProject Venezuela/WikiChallenge Venezuela — it's currently set as a rolling challenge without themes, but please suggest ideas for weekly/monthly topics or a cleanup challenge or a de-stubbing drive if you're interested in those things! Kingsif (talk) 21:57, 9 September 2019 (UTC)
Thanks, I will consider it. --cyrfaw (talk) 12:34, 10 September 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for invite me to improve articles, however, english is not my mother language and i think that my level is not so good to help, however, I could add some image or reference. Also, my NPV is diverted and supporting everything that is against the current dictatorship in my country, so, my biased vision could cause me a block (like the temporary block to which I was subjected in Wikipedia in Spanish and that made me take the voluntary decision not to edit on Wikipedia in Spanish). Thanks guys --The_Photographer (talk) 13:25, 4 October 2019 (UTC)
That's ok! Any images would also be massively appreciated, and if you want to discuss edits at the project, I'm sure contributors will help both with the English and the bias :) Kingsif (talk) 20:51, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

Request for information on WP1.0 web tool

Hello and greetings from the maintainers of the WP 1.0 Bot! As you may or may not know, we are currently involved in an overhaul of the bot, in order to make it more modern and maintainable. As part of this process, we will be rewriting the web tool that is part of the project. You might have noticed this tool if you click through the links on the project assessment summary tables.

We'd like to collect information on how the current tool is used by....you! How do you yourself and the other maintainers of your project use the web tool? Which of its features do you need? How frequently do you use these features? And what features is the tool missing that would be useful to you? We have collected all of these questions at this Google form where you can leave your response. Walkerma (talk) 04:25, 27 October 2019 (UTC)

NEW: A-class reviews

Hello everyone!

As an expansion of the WikiProject, I've created a module that allows users to create a nomination page for articles that they want to be assessed for A-class. I've also made an FAQ on A-class over at the Assessment page, where the form for nominations is. This is for articles of a good standard that also have a great content coverage in relation to their topic. If you know of any Venezuela-related articles that might meet the A-class criteria, go ahead and nominate! Kingsif (talk) 23:25, 28 October 2019 (UTC)

Archive reparation

The article Responses to the Venezuelan presidential crisis was renamed but I failed to recover the archives of the talk page, how can I solve this?--MaoGo (talk) 11:53, 8 January 2020 (UTC)

Do the archives not still exist at the same title? Kingsif (talk) 17:05, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
Yep, there's only one archive and it's here. Perhaps it doesn't show on the talk page banner because it has a different name; a redirect could be created to remedy that. The archive tool on the talk page still goes to the '2019' title, too. Kingsif (talk) 17:07, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
