Using bot generated list
[edit]Hey Chongkian, pinging you since you are still upkeeping this page. What are your thoughts on using a bot generated list for this page? The list can be found here at User:AlexNewArtBot/TaiwanSearchResult. Several other Wikiprojects are using its generated list for their /New articles page. (e.g. Hawaii, India). The bot only reports new articles created within the last 14 days. I've updated its rules to able to capture more accurately. This way, we would be able to capture articles that other have created that are not on our radar, including templates, drafts, and categories. Admittedly it's not very visually easy to parse compared to what's on the page now. Thoughts? Twoggo (talk) 06:08, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
- Uhm, actually I kinda agree with your idea. It gives more complete listing of all pages written (within the scope of WikiProject Taiwan) listed on this page. Because all these while, I only listed down the articles I have written/started (not articles written by other editors) and only article pages (not templates, categories, portals etc). So yeah, actually I agree with that proposal, and when I see that Hawaii and India's new articles, they look quite well-organized. So, I agree to this. But probably you might want to ask this first at the talk page of WikiProject Taiwan. If people agree to it, or no one respond (let's say within 2 weeks), then please go ahead with those changes. - Gotcha, will do so. Thanks for your support! Twoggo (talk) 01:40, 21 November 2021 (UTC)
- Ok cool. I have to say this new format is actually much better that the previous one, which it updates automatically every time there is new article (not manually done by editors keying in everyday). Sorry for only responding now, I sort of missed out this conversation for a while. Chongkian (talk) 02:06, 17 July 2023 (UTC)
