Roy Andrewartha
I'm looking for a steer/consensus on the nationality to be indicated for Roy Andrewartha. I had thought he was Welsh, mainly because he competed in the Welsh Professional Championship in 1981, 1982, 1983, and 1984. However, following the edits to the article by Ghmyrtle, I looked in a couple of books and found that Andrewartha is listed as English. (No nationality mentioned in the CueSport book; Downer's 2019 Crucible Almanac has English; Morrison's Snooker: Records, Facts and Champions has English.)
From some other sources:
- He was born in Tredegar, Wales. (Liverpool Echo - Monday 11 October 1982)
- "a young man who has recently arrived in Wallasey from South Wales and is acclaimed as the most promising snooker player seen on Merseyside for some time. He is Mr Roy Andrewartha ..." (Liverpool Echo - Friday 12 July 1963)
- "...fellow Welshman Roy Andrewartha..." (Belfast Telegraph - Saturday 22 November 1980)
- "Roy Andrewartha, a Welshman who represented England on a residency qualification..." (The Observer - 22 April 1984)

- If you have those sources - which I don't have - it's probably safe to call him Welsh (or British of course!). I was simply going by the sources I could see online. Ghmyrtle (talk) 10:51, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks, Ghmyrtle. The sources don't agree with each other! I've had similar problems determining a definitive nationality for John Roberts Sr. and Tom Carpenter. Regards, BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 11:06, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
- Not hard to get confused between nationality and sporting country! Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 15:39, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

2020 Championship League (2) – Final
I think this should be removed, as it makes little sense with the present format of the Championship League:
Final will be played on 30 October
Final Best of 5 frames | ||
Winner of Group 1 | ||
Winner of Group 2 | ||
With the present format of the tournament (and with the tournament being a ranking event) I prefer the final's format below it. Mrloop (talk) 15:22, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- Agreed. One or the other but not both. Nigej (talk) 21:27, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
I don't think it should be removed, it is used in all other events...89.204.178.211 (talk) 19:31, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
- Show me the events where we use a table like this with just the two finalists. Nigej (talk) 19:43, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
- Having both is ridiculous. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:49, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
