Single's articles, please clarify

[edit]

Are the article on the singles (ie. Spit It Out, Wait and Bleed, etc.) supposed to be about the CD that they were realeased on or the song itself? Some seem to have the length, etc. listed for that particular song, and yet the article is written about the CD. Which is the correct one? Thanks. The article's primary aims are to talk about the single, so it should definitely have released dates and formats that they were released under. However any further information regarding the song or songs on the single is still very relevant. For example Spit It Out also talks about the "Zero Bullshit" which is completely relevant to the song. So both information about formats it was released on (CDs, vinyls, etc) and information regarding the song (video, live performance, controversy) are all welcome. There are articles focusing on songs which aren't singles too (none within the project's scope) but that should only be used if it's quite a lot of information, otherwise talk about the song on the album page. I hope this helps. Rezter TALK 17:17, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
