List clean-up
[edit]Hello... I just added myself to the group - and then my barely in-control OCD took hold and made me do some clean up. I hope no one objects!
Specifically, I made the display of the names more uniform, removing "User:" wherever it was present. (Some folks do not know how to properly use wikilinks!) I also deleted names which have no current WP account. There were quite a few.
Finally, I have a question: Why are blocked accounts shown? Should these entries also be deleted? "RobP (talk) 03:06, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
- My preferences cause blocked user page links to be shown as striked. Currently no member of the list appears to be blocked. Thanks, — PaleoNeonate — 12:27, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
Two methods to "Join" ?
[edit]There appear to be two things that need to be done to add oneself to this group. One is to add oneself manually to the list on THIS page. However, This page indicates one needs to add an infobox to your own page. The problem is that neither of the two different pages giving the different instructions mention the other page. And the infobox on this page only links to one of the two via Join the Project. This is beyond confusing. RobP (talk) 14:14, 22 April 2017 (UTC)
- The userbox adds both an "ad" on the user's page and puts the page into the category Category:WikiProject Skepticism members. I don't think that adding the user name to the participants list can add the user in the category. Another way to put a user in the category without using the userbox would be appending the category link at the bottom of the user's page. Both the category and the participants list may therefore be useful, although I agree that it's a little redundant. — PaleoNeonate — 12:25, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
