over-eager additions and deletions
[edit]An apparent SPA, using also added articles about a number of small shopping centers ("power centers") in the Atlanta area. The individual small shopping centers have been appropriately removed by speedy, but the editor who removed them has also tried to remove the Surry Center article, which is a probably notable mall be speedy--& when speedy was rejected, almost all the content was removed, and the article has been nominated for AfD [1] which may or may not be appropriate. The article certainly does need information about size etc, and also a reference or two.
- And the same editor placed a speedy on the major regional center , Atlanta Mall; this was obviously a little absurd, & I removed it, but it is also nominated for deletion at AfD [2]. This article too needs sources and some more content.
Just dropping a line to let everyone know that List of shopping malls in the United States is at Articles for Deletion. Offer your opinion at that discussion if you want. Ten Pound Hammer • (((Broken clamshells • Otter chirps))) 01:21, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Anchors and tenants
[edit]We appear to have achieved general consensus on Wikipedia:WikiProject Shopping Centers/Anchors and tenants, so I have removed the draft header from that page. When the discussion here left off, we were waiting for any comments that DGG and/or Metallic95 may have in response to revisions made to address their comments -- any further discussions can occur at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Shopping Centers/Anchors and tenants. BTW, if anyone can come up with a pithier "nutshell" description, please do. It appears that we can now cite WP:OR, WP:V and WP:ANCHORS when faced with unsourced anchor lists, and WP:NOT and WP:TENANTS when dealing with endless tenant directories. - This is a good thing to have. I hate crufty tenant lists with a vengance! If a given shopping centre is just the sum of the tenants then it shouldn't have a wikipedia article.Garrie 22:22, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
- By the way, I've added WP:ANC to make a shorter shortcut for the anchor store essay. SchuminWeb (Talk) 00:33, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
