Different language versions?

[edit]

Isn't it worth noting somewhere that songs have version in other languages? How would a reader know that "Something" is the English language version of "En Tus Pupilas" if it's not mentioned in her song page or even in the albums article? It should be noted somewhere. Mi Verdad

[edit]

@WikiRedactor:, @WonderBoy1998: So Maná has released a new song called "Mi Verdad" which features Shakira. It has debuted at #1 on the Hot Latin Songs chart so I was wondering if either of you have plans to create the article for it. I personally think this is a superb especially coming from Shakira who I don't listen to that much. Hopefully after a few months (or maybe even a year), I'd like to collab with either of you. @Magiciandude and WonderBoy1998: Hi guys, sorry my editing has been very sporadic lately with everything going on my end, I hope you are both doing well! I don't know how much time I'll have to get the article going, since my schedule has been so hectic lately and I don't have much uninterrupted time to do heavy editing anymore like I used to. Hopefully that changes once things settle, but I will try my best to add to the article however I can. WikiRedactor (talk) 20:47, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Plus the song just came out so I guess it'll take time. Erick (talk) 22:18, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Missing Colombian weekly chart placings

[edit]

I was in a Wiki rabbit hole as one does, when I reached National-Report, which was listed as founded in 2009. Apparently, Shakira does not have at least 2 number one singles! This is despite La Bicicleta and Clandestino (Shakira and Maluma song) having number ones with sources.

I could not believe this, and went to check her hit singles. Not all of them after 2009 have chart placements on the pages.

I was unable to find discussion of this issue here and I apologise if this has been addressed.

I think there are two courses of action here. Consensus could be sought to list Shakira with 2 number one singles. The two number ones are co-headliners after all. La Bicicleta could also be listed on the National-Report page as Carlos Vives and Shakira instead of ft.

Top-20 placements that came after 2009 might have been web.archive-ed. They include She Wolf (Shakira song), Waka Waka (This Time for Africa), Loca (Shakira song), Rabiosa (song), Addicted to You (Shakira song), Empire (Shakira song), and Try Everything. Me Enamoré (Shakira song) and Perro Fiel have over 600 million YouTube views, and Deja Vu (Prince Royce and Shakira song) has 300 million, which may indicate underrepresented popularity. I might have missed a few.

An uneducated guess would be trying web.archive on dates after the release of these singles to get sourced peak chart placements.

It would be great to have Shakira listed as one of the artists with the most number one singles on the chart, or even to have 3 or more number ones!--Pannerin (talk) 17:05, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
