User sandbox

Let's agree to not work in someone else's user sandbox without letting them know. Ok? --Rosiestep (talk) 16:56, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

Collaborative article creation

I'm following up to Dr. B's comment from 30 Oct 13:

"Perhaps if you restricted how much content you add per article Nvv like 1-2 kb and 3 sources or something then the articles wouldn't take so long to check. That would free up mine and Rosie's time and allow us to make additions..."

The newest current article, Duladeo Temple, was written by only one of us (in a user sandbox) and then moved into RBN project sandbox. It's awaiting other editors to c/e and audit. We've worked like this before --one editor writing an entire article and the others doing the c/e-- and that has proved to be problematic for RBN. So I thought we decided to change our practice: if it's an RBN article, the content should be written collaboratively by more than one editor; if it's written by only one editor then it doesn't qualify for RBN. Obviously, we might not know when we start an article in RBN sandbox that no one else wants to work on it, but it the other editors choose to "Pass", that's how we'll alert each other. --Rosiestep (talk) 16:56, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

OK. In that case, I will not transfer Bok Chitta Key to RBN as the article is mostly done by me.--Nvvchar. 04:26, 12 November 2013 (UTC)

Completely agree, that was the reason Rosie and I were unwilling to check it. Pick an A-Z entry Nvv, try to restrict your initial input to under 2 kb, and post it here and we can probably resume. You're free of course to write articles on Indian topics yourself and post them at DYK, at your own risk though..♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:47, 12 November 2013 (UTC)

Capital city templates

I think it's a good idea to develop these templates but the amount of red ink in the list is rather discouraging. I volunteer to cover the EU capitals over the next week or two. Perhaps someone would like to cover South America? Then we could go on from there.--Ipigott (talk) 16:55, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

Yes, Rosie can also help create them ;-]♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:54, 12 November 2013 (UTC)

Yes yes, templates, such a snap for me. ;) Kidding aside, can you link to one so I have a reference point? --Rosiestep (talk)

I've sent you the SF ferry one to create the piers via email. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 07:32, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

Cheers; got it; thanks! But actually, I was responding to Ian's post about EU capital templates with red links. If one of those has been created, which one, so I know what you're talking about regarding South America? --Rosiestep (talk) 14:37, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
