Isn't this term too ambiguous? Shouldn't it be List of famous Puerto Ricans or List of notable Puerto Ricans, because if it's only a "LIST OF PUERTO RICANS" then all Puerto Ricans should be listed, which would be impossible. If the list name is the correct one, even I could be added to this list. Doesn't anyone else think a rename is in order? Feedback 02:03, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Hey Feedback, I agree with you and as a matter of fact I have always felt the sameway in regard to what you have stated. When my son and I started the list years ago, it was named "List of famous Puerto Ricans" and then the people at the naming convention somehow agreed that the word "famous" should not be used in titles, since according to them the word famous could be considered POV. Then I tried making a separate list with only the highly "notable" Puerto Ricans with a strict criteria which went well until some people started the samething once more and wanted the lists merged with the "List of Puerto Ricans" being the dominate title. The only solution then was to add the criteria which has been added which states (I'm sure you have already seen it) that only "notable" people, by that we mean Puerto Ricans, people of Puerto Rican descent and those who have made Puerto Rico their home, who are notable and whose claim to notability must be cited with a reliable verifiable source (I guess that leaves you out, smile) can be added, otherwise their names will be removed. Man, but I do agree with you 100%, too bad the other people in the naming convention can't understand something so simple. Tony the Marine (talk) 03:06, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

Competing against countries that outnumber us by a few hundred millions (i.e. a few hundred editors here)? We are efficient, but we lack the man power to compete against such projects, it hardly seems fair. - Caribbean~H.Q. 03:57, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
