The ones which spring to mind

[edit]

I'm not adding it to the table, because it is subjective (and from memory, not from a source), but here is my list of the species which are most common in the wild and/or cultivation, in case that helps prioritize this work. It is probably Maryland-centric. Adiantum pedatum, Asplenium platyneuron, Asplenium rhizophyllum, Athyrium filix-femina, Cystopteris fragilis, Dennstaedtia punctilobula, Diplazium pycnocarpon, Dryopteris carthusiana, Dryopteris goldiana, Dryopteris intermedia, Dryopteris marginalis, Matteuccia struthiopteris, Onoclea sensibilis, Osmunda claytoniana, Osmunda spectabilis, Osmundastrum cinnamomeum, Polypodium virginianum, Polystichum acrostichoides, Pteridium aquilinum, Thelypteris noveboracensis, Thelypteris palustris, Woodwardia areolata.
