Colours of elemental gases
At the Science Reference desk we are (unsuccessfully so far) attempting to unravel why hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen are colourless gases whereas fluorine and chlorine gases are coloured. Any assistance you could provide would be appreciated. — thank you, Sandbh (talk) 04:16, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
