Additionally, on 18 February will be online edit-a-thon, with many new users. Ensuring all new users have Wiki accounts will be key. ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 21:25, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
Report
[edit]A brief report summarizing the results of edit-a-thon should be created towards end of February. You can find the conclusion in 2021's weekend here: Wikipedia:WikiProject Organized Labour/Online edit-a-thon Tech February 2021 § Conclusion ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 21:25, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
- Report by Grnrchst: This month I put most of my focus on the general strike article. Using the sources I had available, I managed to expand on the history of the general strike's theoretical development, debates over its use, and strikes that were carried out during the 19th century. Unfortunately I wasn't able to cover much of the 20th and 21st centuries during the allotted time of the edit-a-thon, so the chronology of the edits I made currently stop at 1914. But I'm generally pleased with the work I've done so far and may revisit this article at some point for further improvements.
- I also went through the article on anarcho-syndicalism and expanded information about its theoretical origins, although the rest of the article still has some pretty major problems caused by frankly poor sourcing (self-published blog posts, anarchist/syndicalist magazines, etc.) I wanted to take a crack at the article on direct action, but due to my focus being elsewhere I only managed to fill out its bibliography, so those sources are there for anyone interested in working on that article. -- Grnrchst (talk) 11:33, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
