Shannara artifacts or Shannara Artifacts
Shouldn't Shannara Artifacts be changed to Shannara artifacts? One article should, of course, redirect to the other. -- Alex Nisnevich (talk) 02:12, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
Inactive Project
I'm going to begin editing many articles in this category, and so I'm going to go ahead and remove the inactive tag on the wikiproject. Sicarii 22:00, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
Portal!
I've just created the Shannara Portal (example:Portal:Harry Potter) at Portal:Shannara. Feel free to go there and edit. To insert a section, click the redlink or "edit" and enter the info. Have fun! Kumar 13:48, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Redirect
Could someone fix the redirect for Druids (Shannara) to Shannara Druids? I can't get it to work. Padishar 06:05, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
- For some reason it's working now. Padishar 00:43, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
Warlock Lord 1st Appearance?
In the Warlock Lord article, it lists his first appearance as being in First King of Shannara. While this is correct in terms of the Shannara universe chronology, his first appearance in print was of course in The Sword of Shannara. We probably need to find a way of incorporating this into the infobox/article. Djbrianuk 12:37, 14 September 2005 (UTC)
- I believe that "First Apearance" means the first appearance chronologically. -- Alex Nisnevich (talk) 18:33, 18 September 2005 (UTC)
Articles for the Wikipedia 1.0 project
Hi, I'm a member of the Wikipedia:Version_1.0_Editorial_Team, which is looking to identify quality articles in Wikipedia for future publication on CD or paper. We recently began assessing using these criteria, and we are looking for A-Class and good B-Class articles, with no POV or copyright problems. Can you recommend any suitable articles on Shannara? Although I don't think you have any, featured articles would also be great. Please post your suggestions here. Cheers!--Shanel 21:12, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
Project Directory
Hello. The WikiProject Council is currently in the process of developing a master directory of the existing WikiProjects to replace and update the existing Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory. These WikiProjects are of vital importance in helping wikipedia achieve its goal of becoming truly encyclopedic. Please review the following pages:
- User:Badbilltucker/Culture Directory,
- User:Badbilltucker/Culture Directory 2,
- User:Badbilltucker/Philosophy and religion Directory,
- User:Badbilltucker/Sports Directory,
- User:Badbilltucker/Geographical Directory,
- User:Badbilltucker/Geographical Directory/United States, (note: This page will be retitled to more accurately reflect its contents)
- User:Badbilltucker/History and society directory, and
- User:Badbilltucker/Science directory
and make any changes to the entries for your project that you see fit. There is also a directory of portals, at User:B2T2/Portal, listing all the existing portals. Feel free to add any of them to the portals or comments section of your entries in the directory. The three columns regarding assessment, peer review, and collaboration are included in the directory for both the use of the projects themselves and for that of others. Having such departments will allow a project to more quickly and easily identify its most important articles and its articles in greatest need of improvement. If you have not already done so, please consider whether your project would benefit from having departments which deal in these matters. It is my hope to have the existing directory replaced by the updated and corrected version of the directory above by November 1. Please feel free to make any changes you see fit to the entries for your project before then. If you should have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you. B2T2 22:28, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry if you tried to update it before, and the corrections were gone. I have now moved the new draft in the old directory pages, so the links should work better. My apologies for any confusion this may have caused you. B2T2 14:16, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
List of members
Hallo, I would like to join this WikiProject, so what should I do? Do I add my name in the member list? Zacharycrimsonwolf 13:14, 14 November 2006 (UTC) 14:14, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
Help
We seriously need help. Not that this WikiProject is lousy, its great, only it lacks material and MEMBERS. We need a userbox and a template for ourselves. I can help with filling out the article about characters and such, I currently own 4 Shannara books, but that's not enough. You guys are great editors and have the potential to bring this WikiProject to greater heights. Don't give up guys, and keep up the good work! A few more cleanups and de-stubbings will bring us to GOOD! We should concentrate on one article, and try to bring it to Good Article status. If anyone can, its you guys!
Secondly, how should we advertise this WikiProject? Zacharycrimsonwolf 13:14, 14 November 2006 (UTC) 14:47, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi, all! I've came up with a Userbox for us, its not much. It looks like:
SH | This user is a member of WikiProject Shannara. |
Zacharycrimsonwolf 13:14, 14 November 2006 (UTC) 13:01, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- There is now an alternate userbox at {{User WikiProject Shannara}}. It has a generic sword in it because using anything more specific would almost certainly be a violation of some copyright laws, but I think it is at least a start. If anyone can find a better or more appealing image to put into the box, please feel free to do so. John Carter 13:58, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Wikipedia Day Awards
Hello, all. It was initially my hope to try to have this done as part of Esperanza's proposal for an appreciation week to end on Wikipedia Day, January 15. However, several people have once again proposed the entirety of Esperanza for deletion, so that might not work. It was the intention of the Appreciation Week proposal to set aside a given time when the various individuals who have made significant, valuable contributions to the encyclopedia would be recognized and honored. I believe that, with some effort, this could still be done. My proposal is to, with luck, try to organize the various WikiProjects and other entities of wikipedia to take part in a larger celebrartion of its contributors to take place in January, probably beginning January 15, 2007. I have created yet another new subpage for myself (a weakness of mine, I'm afraid) at User talk:Badbilltucker/Appreciation Week where I would greatly appreciate any indications from the members of this project as to whether and how they might be willing and/or able to assist in recognizing the contributions of our editors. Thank you for your attention. Badbilltucker 17:38, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Truls Rohk
Hey guys, I just greatly expanded the Truls Rohk article, telling in detail what happens. Check it out! He's my favorite character in Shannara.--Shoemaukertuvvick 19:32, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Walker Boh
Hello everyone. I don't have the books in front of me, but isn't there a mistake in the Walker Boh article? It seems to claim that Walker lost his arm seeking the black elfstone in both the Scions of Shannara and the Druid of Shannara. I think he only lost one arm.... 140.233.136.157 21:03, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Possibility as a task force?
Considering that this project's scope falls within the scope of Wikipedia:WikiProject Fictional Series, I was wondering whether the members of the project would be interested in perhaps becoming more closely tied to that project. Doing so would allow the members to use the existing templates and other infrastructure of that project, and possibly be useful in getting members of that group to collaborate on occasion regarding this project's content. Just a thought. John Carter 15:38, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Warner Bros. buys 'Shannara' books
Not sure if you have read this news or not but i just found it posted online. Warner Bros has brought the movie rights to the Shannara Series and may base the first movie on The Elfstones of Shannara. [1]Boylo 11:22, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
May I Join?
Hello all! I have just recently finished reading the Original Shannara trilogy and plan on reading the rest of Terry Brooks books! If you need any help with this project, I'd be more than happy to help!--I3ladeDragon 23:12, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
Shannara Creatures -- Feeders
Is there a reason "feeders" aren't listed as a creature of the Shannara world? Wanted to know before I created a page for them... --ktoonen 21:14, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Feel free to add ass them to the list of Shannara creatures. (You know, I haven't heard of them. Which book did you get them from?) --Zacharycrimsonwolf 14:45, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
They are in the Word & Void prequel series... I think they would count as Shannara creatures, yeah? --ktoonen 15:34, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
