This is a notice to let you know about Article alerts, a fully-automated subscription-based news delivery system designed to notify WikiProjects and Taskforces when articles are entering Articles for deletion, Requests for comment, Peer review and other workflows (full list). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be found here.
If you are already subscribed to Article Alerts, it is now easier to report bugs and request new features. We are also in the process of implementing a "news system", which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use the display=none
parameter, but forget to give a link to their alert page. Your alert page should be located at "Wikipedia:PROJECT-OR-TASKFORCE-HOMEPAGE/Article alerts". Questions and feedback should be left at Wikipedia talk:Article alerts.

Project banner
I have recently adjusted the {{WikiProject Christianity}} banner to allow for assessment for this group as well. I am now going around placing the Christianity banner on many of the articles of this project, as they also fall within the scope of that project. The Christianity banner has importance assessments parameters as well. I'm assuming that all those articles included in the Salem Witch Trials template are to qualify as Top importance, given that they are linked to in that way. Would the members of this group mind if, to reduce duplication, your current banner is removed. The Christianity banner has all the material your banner does, and a bit more as well, and it seems irrational to have two banners working for the same group on each talk page. Thoughts? Christianity coordinators elections
Any parties interested in being one of the coordinators of WikiProject Christianity and its various related projects is encouraged to list themselves as a candidate at Wikipedia:WikiProject Christianity/Coordinators/Election 2. It would be particularly beneficial if we had individuals from as broad a range of areas of the project as possible, to help ensure that we have people knowledgable about the widest range of content possible. Articles on books
As most of the people here know, there are a huge number of books about the subject of the witch trials, many or most of which are themselves notable enough for their own articles. I think it would probably help the project a lot if there were an effort made to create articles on these books, as they will provide the best possible locations for inclusion of information regarding all the variant theories regarding these events.
