Bilateral relations discussion

I would like to invite you all to participate in a discussion at this thread regarding bilateral relations between two countries. All articles related to foreign relations between countries are now under the scope of WikiProject Foreign relations, a newly created project. Microstates

I was considering starting up a WikiProject on Microstates. Luxembourg is obviously one of the most significant of these, so I thought I would contact this WikiProject and see if we wanted to form some level of coordination, maybe even merger, between the two, etc. I've never started a project before, so I'm not sure of the whole process, but I figure it can be mutually beneficial to increase the scope and hopefully editors of articles on Luxembourg as well. Luxembourg isn't really a microstate. The article microstate illustrates them as the countries with dots on Image:BlankMap-World-v2.PNG. However, Luxembourg isn't that small: having an area of 2,500 sq km, it is over 7 times as large as Malta, 40 times as large as San Marino, and shows up on that world map. As a result, it's not mentioned in the microstates or European microstates articles or included in Category:European microstates. Therefore, I don't think it really falls within the remit of a Microstate WikiProject. Sorry. Bastin 15:07, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Alright, I accept that. I don't agree with the categorizations on Wikipedia as the first definition of them, personally, but I'll go along with it. From the outside research I've done, Luxembourg seems to sometimes be considered in, sometimes not; there's not a real consensus on its status. Anyway, though, I won't push you guys on it.
