Bryan Cartledge

[edit]

John Lukacs has a very positive review of Bryan Cartledge's The Will to Survive: A History of Hungary in the December 2007 issue of Harper's. The book apparently covers cultural as well as policital history and Lukacs (a native Hungarian) seems very impressed with the Englishman's mastery of Hungarian language and literature. Not particularly my area, and I'm not likely to read the book in the near future which is exactly why I am passing this on, hoping that some Wikipedian more focused in this area will do so. - Jmabel | Talk 04:09, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Comment on the WikiProject X proposal

[edit]

Hello there! As you may already know, most WikiProjects here on Wikipedia struggle to stay active after they've been founded. I believe there is a lot of potential for WikiProjects to facilitate collaboration across subject areas, so I have submitted a grant proposal with the Wikimedia Foundation for the "WikiProject X" project. WikiProject X will study what makes WikiProjects succeed in retaining editors and then design a prototype WikiProject system that will recruit contributors to WikiProjects and help them run effectively. Please review the proposal here and leave feedback. If you have any questions, you can ask on the proposal page or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you for your time! (Also, sorry about the posting mistake earlier. If someone already moved my message to the talk page, feel free to remove this posting.) Harej (talk) 22:47, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

IPA transcription of Himnusz

[edit]

The IPA transcription of the Himnusz (Himnusz) is not very accurate, it seems to me. There might be a norm of transcribing words to song that I'm not familiar with (if that's the function of that section), but if the goal is merely to have an accurate representation of the words of the Himnusz in IPA then I'd be happy to implement a few changes.
