Standup paddleboarding

So I am working on standup paddleboarding and have a question: is this a candidate for merging? All the other issues aside, including the name and need for a move, IMO, do you folks think that the GOCE tag should just be removed and a merge proposed with paddle boarding? To me, this seems like just a subtype of the sport which does not warrant a full article. Thoughts and disagreements are welcome! -Pax Verbum 02:46, 22 August 2016 (UTC)

Standup paddleboarding (SUP) has become a pretty big deal, probably bigger than traditional paddle boarding, so people will want it to have its own article at some point. I would leave it. I am sure that there are plenty of references available to make a stand-alone article for SUP. As for paddle boarding, that article is a mess! – Jonesey95 (talk) 14:06, 22 August 2016 (UTC)

Alyssa Fleming

I would appreciate it if someone could take a look at Alyssa Fleming as I don't have much experience with sports articles. The vast majority of the sources are not independent - including a couple that I added in desperation because I couldn't find actual news articles. It seems that all of the awards, such as All-American, Mid-Atlantic, etc, are reported only on sports and university sites. Is this typical of sports articles for young athletes? Do I gut the article or trust that the primary sources can be used for simple documentation of awards. Thanks. Leschnei (talk) 01:53, 23 August 2016 (UTC)

Shandur polo festival

Shandur Polo Festival is largely lifted from reference #5 which is a government tourism site that has copyright claims on its main page. Reference #2 is a youtube video, #3 is a biking/tourist book with an incidental mention of the festival grounds, #4 is a sentence repeated from #5. Reference #1 is a book that I don't have access to; it is the source of the 'historical background' section; the only section not lifted from #5. I have done a quick search and there are actual news articles about this festival, including BBC, but I think that the article needs an entire re-write. Not something I'm willing to do by Aug 27.
