Mémoires : fils de la nation
[edit]@Redexxes: Thanks for your copyedit of Mémoires : fils de la nation, which looked like it was a rough translation from the French wikipedia. (We definitely need translators!) However, it does not appear to have been tagged for copy edit. The purpose of this drive is to reduce the number of tagged articles from the backlog and to complete requested copy edits. You can find tagged articles with the links in the "Wikipedia articles needing copy edit" box at the top of the drive page. Please let me know if you have any questions. – Reidgreg (talk) 18:05, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
The article is from April 2018, is it not? One of the drive's goals was to complete all articles on the GOCE Requests page from April 2018, so I chose one from that category. I'm a little confused. Red.exxes (talk) 18:27, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
- You are correct. Articles from the Requests page, such as Mémoires, count during the drive. Thanks for your work! Tdslk (talk) 20:17, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Redexxes: my apologies! I should have checked that! (I attribute my neglect to mental exhaustion after finishing a rather long project.) I already put in the wordcount for the article and have now marked it with *R to make sure you get the 50% bonus for completing a request! Sorry for the confusion and thanks again for the copy edit! – Reidgreg (talk) 20:25, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
No worries. Thanks for putting in the word count too. Red.exxes (talk) 20:52, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
New record low backlog
[edit]Looks like we broke the old record on 12 May and are steadily bringing the backlog to new all-time lows. And we still have lots of time left. Go team! – Reidgreg (talk) 21:26, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
- Given the hundreds of articles that have been edited, we owe a big "Thank You!" to those editors who participate anonymously in these drives for all the articles they have edited. Twofingered Typist (talk) 21:32, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
- Can we get to 700? We have less than 19 hours left in the drive. We need to copy-edit about 50 articles, since we get about ten newly tagged articles per day. I just did five easy ones. Can you do a few today? – Jonesey95 (talk) 05:46, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
- 694 would be half of the backlog from the end of May 2017. Dare we dream? – Reidgreg (talk) 13:05, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
- We just hit 724, which is half of the backlog from the end of April 2018. Would this be the first time we've ever halved the backlog in a single month-long drive? (Yes, we can certainly dream for more.) BlueMoonset (talk) 21:13, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
- Wow, that's a much better benchmark! (Have to put that in the newsletter!) I'm sure we're breaking all sorts of records this month, and 2 hours left to get a few more in. – Reidgreg (talk) 22:06, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
