Now that Wikipedia:WikiProject Georgia (U.S. state) is running, how about one for the country Georgia? Chris 22:16, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Issue with the main template

The main "this article is part of WikiProject Georgia" template seems to keep articles in the unassessed and unknown-importance categories even after they're assessed. I'd mark the ones I've found manually, but then they'd be in two categories by assessment which would start to get a bit messy. BigHaz - Schreit mich an 10:51, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

I suspect that it's the same with the importance, in that the template will keep them marked as "unknown-importance" even if someone assigns an importance value. By the by, I've nicked the Greek project's assessment scale and set it up as ours (why Greece? Tamta was an article I tagged). It may well not be the best way of setting things up, but at least it's going to give people a vague conception of standards until something else comes along. wikibreak

Due to circumstances in my life, I need to reduce my activity in Wikipedia, and will be taking a leave of absence. I wish the Project the best of success while I am away. Chris 22:00, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Standardisation?

Hi. I've just joined this project (assuming it's still active) since I'm planning to work on a few articles about Georgian history. I'm currently preparing an article on Georgia under the Russian Empire in my sandbox, which should take care of Russian Georgia mentioned on the front page here.

One thing I've noticed when reading articles on Georgian history is that there doesn't seem to be a standard way of naming Georgian kings here, e.g. the same person is variously Erekle, Irakli and Heraclius. A project like this would be the ideal way to introduce more uniformity in such matters, which would help both readers and editors alike. Any thoughts on the matter? Cheers. --Folantin 11:54, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
