I created this page and published a list I've compiled through a Google search of Wikipedia articles. It may not be complete and it certainly has some imperfections, but it might serve as a starting point which can save considerable work and aid to the advancement of the project

I have used the list to create over a hundred new additions to the Wikipecia Chile project, I can see that this is going to take me a long time to work through the entire list because of my own limited time available.

At this moment, I have not moved the included articles to the second list because the idea of sharing this list did not occur to me until after I had already started using it. I will attempt to rectify this as I have time, but if someone else wishes to take on this task I would appreciate the help.

I hope others will find this list useful. --JAXHERE | Talk 15:06, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's a commendable effort, trying to project tag all Chile-related articles and listify them, but I do have a couple suggestions. First, the second list of all articles with project tags is not really necessary for two reasons: A.) All Chile tagged articles are all automatically put in Category:WikiProject Chile articles (19,203 total) and B.) The article Index of Chile-related articles exists to, well, list all Chile-related articles. Ideally, all that article's links would be project-tagged and not redirects.
So, I think we could simply do away with the second list, OR -- and this is the second suggestion -- if we're feeling overachieving (and I'd be happy to help), we could use this page not only to identify articles that my be candidates for inclusion put to also verify that related articles are also in fact listed in the Index. To do this, we may want to begin by first checking the 2nd list against the Index, thereby depopulating and deleting it, then dumping the contents of the Index into the first list to make sure they're all project-tagged, too. (There are ~350 more articles in the Index than the Cat.) I'm toying with the idea of semi-automating this by dumping these lists into flat files and running them through a program similar to WinMerge. Thoughts? - Ruodyssey (talk) 11:10, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've been picking up where Jax left off and in doing so have found the value in listing all the articles, categories, and templates within the scope of WPChile (i.e. all things {{WPChile}}-tagged). Sure, these are all in Category:WikiProject Chile articles, but having a projectified list has been tremendously helpful by saving me a lot of copy & pasting, plus it's been great for identifying recent inclusions. This is why I've struck my comments above. Also, the Index bit is going to have to wait until the first list is trimmed down considerably. - Ruodyssey (talk) 13:11, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
