Australian Democrats (Queensland Division) Incorporated
[edit]Does anyone know just what the significance of Australian Democrats (Queensland Division) Incorporated is? Is this a registration to give the Democrats corporate personhood, a quirk of the Queensland branch's history or what? The article seems non-notable (to the best of my knowledge the Democrats were never significant in Queensland state level politics) but as the article's been there over a decade I'm reluctant to rush to propose it for AFD without first exploring it. - There was a split, where the Qld division claimed to continue the party and were arguing with a South Australian group. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-04-02/democrats-trying-to-restart-but-queensland-group-objects/10958726 Newystats (talk) 06:26, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Ouch, what a mess and Talk:Australian Democrats is full of assertions. However the article we have doesn't actually contain much beyond the Democrats' federal record in Queensland during their parliamentary heyday and obscure points of Queensland company law. I'd be inclined to just merge this into the main Australian Democrats article as a dispute amongst the remains of the party in the 2010s. We don't need separate articles for every splinter group or breakaway state branch that made no impact. Timrollpickering (talk) 19:20, 17 September 2024 (UTC)

[edit]I'm not familiar with the copyright policies of Australian governments, nor do I have much experience navigating their websites. Do we have any free photographs of the event? Robin S. Taylor (talk) 10:29, 20 October 2024 (UTC)

Should Party Faction go at the start of the article or another section
[edit]It's not clear or consistent throughout the Australian politicians wikipedia pages where the Faction they are part of should go in the article. Sometimes it's in the top section other times at in the 'Political Views' section. I am personally in favour of it being at the top as it is very relevant and arguably a big influence on the politician. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BlueMountainPanther (talk • contribs) 07:50, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
