Wikipedia talk:WikiProject ArbCom tinfoil hat party
PLEASE TREAT THIS PROJECT WITH THE DIGNITY AND RESPECT IT DESERVES
Any user posting comments suggesting that this is insane, doomed project will have their tinfoil hat revoked, subjecting them to Newyorkbrad's mind control rays.If my mind control rays still worked, do you think the requests for arbitration page would look remotely like what it does right now? Newyorkbrad (talk) 05:05, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
- Ask not whether your mind control rays still work.
- Ask not whether they work as well as other people's.
- Ask whether they work as well as mind control rays from a mind that's six foot further from the ground than you.
- Then speak softly, and carry a stepladder.

- Good point, but User:Bishzilla refused to run for the Committee, for yet another year. Newyorkbrad (talk) 22:37, 24 November 2012 (UTC)
- All of the "voter guides" support you and oppose a certain factions candidates. Obviously only mind control could be responsible. Beeblebrox (talk) 01:23, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
- Could we shanghai Bishzilla onboard as a write in candidate? ϢereSpielChequers 18:16, 25 November 2012 (UTC)

Potential candidates for ArbCom:
I say we go to the nearest circus, kidnap all the clowns, spray 'em down with a hose (just for fun) and have them kidnap Jimbo Wales. Then they can make him make them the new ArbCom. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Beeblebrox (talk • contribs)
- In other words, redirect Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee to clown? Those who have been following ArbCom since a certain case in 2006 will remember that clown has come up in the Committee's deliberations before.... Newyorkbrad (talk) 22:39, 24 November 2012 (UTC)
- I just think all users deserve transparent access to ice cream and cotton candy. Beeblebrox (talk) 01:21, 25 November 2012 (UTC)

Another show election
[edit]Scoffers may suggest that the delay in opening voting is due to a technical glitch, but we know better. The ArbCom old-guard is rewriting the software to stop The Party!
Emulating the Orange revolution, we should put flower-holding Ukrainian women (or other babes) in front of the cameras. Volunteers?

- I seem to recall that Gaddafi had a platoon of female Ukranian bodyguards. They are probably having trouble finding work right about now and could be got for a song. But what song? Obviously that is the debate we should be having. I propose Rock Me Amadeus. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:15, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
You maybe academically retarded. Academia Retards By FACT. Arbcom Has 1 Day When Debate Still, And 4 Days Within 1 Earth Rotation, losing 3 days retards humanity. ARE you stupiD and evil? If you are ignorant of natures harmonic Arbcom election, then you were taught to be stupid and evil. Human Form Arbcom Is Impossible. Newyorkbrad is a SCAM upon Children.

oh good grief
[edit]OK .. who started this? ... never mind - I kin haz history tab - figures. (no offense Beebs). OK - my question is this: Where is the membership page I can sign up on? — Ched : ? 08:46, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
- We haz two levels of membership the one you signed up to and the other one. ϢereSpielChequers 09:29, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
- LOL .. (and did I dangle a participle above?) — Ched : ? 11:05, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
- Dangling participles are one of the seven signs of the ArbCom Apocalypse ™, so that's a good thing. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:41, 4 May 2013 (UTC)

Comment on the WikiProject X proposal
[edit]Hello there! As you may already know, most WikiProjects here on Wikipedia struggle to stay active after they've been founded. I believe there is a lot of potential for WikiProjects to facilitate collaboration across subject areas, so I have submitted a grant proposal with the Wikimedia Foundation for the "WikiProject X" project. WikiProject X will study what makes WikiProjects succeed in retaining editors and then design a prototype WikiProject system that will recruit contributors to WikiProjects and help them run effectively. Please review the proposal here and leave feedback. If you have any questions, you can ask on the proposal page or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you for your time! (Also, sorry about the posting mistake earlier. If someone already moved my message to the talk page, feel free to remove this posting.) Harej (talk) 22:47, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
WikiProject X is live!
[edit]Hello everyone!
You may have received a message from me earlier asking you to comment on my WikiProject X proposal. The good news is that WikiProject X is now live! In our first phase, we are focusing on research. At this time, we are looking for people to share their experiences with WikiProjects: good, bad, or neutral. We are also looking for WikiProjects that may be interested in trying out new tools and layouts that will make participating easier and projects easier to maintain. If you or your WikiProject are interested, check us out! Note that this is an opt-in program; no WikiProject will be required to change anything against its wishes. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
Note: To receive additional notifications about WikiProject X on this talk page, please add this page to Wikipedia:WikiProject X/Newsletter. Otherwise, this will be the last notification sent about WikiProject X.
