Cyberjunkie

[edit]

Hello, I hope you don't mind, but I kind of re-organised the project page - I'm a relatively new user/member, so forgive me for being a ignorant of Wikipedia etiquette. I'd like to help out with the Adelaide project. I've already contributed to some articles on Adelaide and Australia. - Cyberjunkie 20:00, Nov 20, 2004.

Hi,

I've added my name to the participants list. What does this mean/change? Do we have a leader or pecking order? Is there a formal coordinating action (like a project of the week), or do we still just add whatever interests us as and when we can? Does this project cover strictly just the metro area, or loosely the whole state? --ScottDavis 08:11, 25 Jan 2005 (UTC)

We don't have a leader or a pecking order - we're just a bunch of interested people trying to improve coverage of the city. User:Aaronhill is probably the best person to talk to, though. We just cover what interests us, though it might be a good idea to highlight particular places/people that need articles here. I don't think anyone's likely to object if it loosely covers the whole state, too. Ambi 10:17, 25 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Avochelm

[edit]

Hi, I'm new and I am planning on working on the north-eastern areas of Adelaide, particularly promiment suburbs, shopping centers, schools and the O-Bahn. Possibly Semaphore and Port Adelaide if I go there some time! Avochelm 12:14, 7 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Hello all, I'm also new and based in Daw Park. I love Adelaide and I'm familiar with the city, Central Market, and the Burnside, Marion, and Mitcham areas.--Zzymurgy 01:52, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Underverse

[edit]

Howdy Y'all, My name is Scott and I am involved in a wiki project with a lot of Adelaide people called Underverse. We are creating a content community for Adelaide artists in wiki format. As a result a fair few of us are getting good at developing and editing wiki pages. I would like some information so we can have some co-ordination within our own site in regards to helping out with the Adelaide Wikipedia project. You can contact me at scott@underverse.org

Oli Young

[edit]

Hi, i've (Oli Young) been making some minor edits here and there, and wouldn't mind doing some more work, especially taking photos that are needed, so i'll try and get some of those on the list done and if you want to add some more, i'll see what i can do. I live in the southern suburbs and will probably stick to anything south of cross road, I'll probably start around the City of Onkaparinga suburbs.

I think the Holdfast Bay History Centre might be a good source for articles on the suburbs around here where I live (Glengowrie). Hope to create some histories and a smidge of current info that I know in my head for suburbs around here. --Lisa 28 June 2005 05:26 (UTC)

Well, have been putsing around the wikiverse for the last couple of weeks after hearing about it on the media here in the States. I live in Minnesota, after relocating two years ago. Interest are with Lutheran Church history, early german settlement, and the Adelaide hills. I was also born in God's count.. I mean Queensland (hushed tones in the audience, so I have some interests there also. :-) Would love for others who have similar interests in articles to give the once over... (Thankyou Scott Davis for your input already).SauliH 03:46, 3 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Babij

[edit]

Hi all. I joined this project to hopefully do a few suburbs in my area, and maybe also the Festival Theatre and Port Road, which are in my area. The suburbs I plan on doing are: Cheltenham, Albert Park and Royal Park. Anyways, I had better go do some research so I can make a good article :-). Good luck everybody. Bkingshott

[edit]

G'day, I've been using Wiki for some time and have decided to start contributing. I've lived in Burnside (Waterfall Gully, Stonyfell.) for most of my life and have just moved up to Stirling. I also attended Marryatville High School. Hopefully I can make some additions to whatever information is currently present on the hills area (if any, haven't checked yet.) and perhaps I can offer some additional help with other Adelaide areas. bkingshott 00:03, 25 January 2006 (GMT +9:30 ;))

Shenki

[edit]

Hello All, Long time wiki, web and FOSS user, I have made a few small edits around the place before, but my first big edit was the Adelaide University Engineering Society page. A bit of work later, I thought that it wasn't looking too bad, however, it seems I have some more work to do before the page is considered noteable - its currently marked as AfD. Apart from working at adelaide uni, and studying at the same uni, I enjoy my Hockey, Footy, Stargate, and live music. I have lived in Port Lincoln and Keith for about 8 years a piece, lived at Aquinas College (another page of mine) for three, and now reside in Parkside, Adelaide. Looking for guidance on how to make sure the AUES page stays in the wiki. Cheers, Shenki 08:53, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello everyone, I only became a wikipedia member today (April 23) but I have been reading it for a long time. Later today, if nobody objects, I will add myself to the participants list. I attend Glenunga High School in year 10. I am coship and I will help write any articals that are about my local area (Glandore, Marion) and I don't mind doing a bit of research to help with anything that needs doing. I have just started on Ascot Park seeing as I am actually a resident of Ascot Park and that there was not that much Information there. I wan't to start to make more articles related to Adelaide so I might as well join this Project. I will be adding my name to the list.--Z3N 09:13, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
