NPOV?

Hi there. Thanks for starting the project. However, as of now, the project uses only a separatist Abkhazia flag and has POV templates that precludes Georgian users from participating in it. Wiki projects are supposed to enhance cooperation between Wikipedians not to divide them along political lines. Thanks for your understanding in advance, --KoberTalk 05:41, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

I think another set of userboxes could be created for those who don't like 'stars and stripes'. The more participants the better, I suppose. Alæxis¿question? 05:45, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
How about just removing any political POV templates and focusing on encyclopedic content? I also wonder if the project has gone through Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals as required by Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Guide? Also, the flag in the project template should be changed into a map to meet NPOV, imho.--KoberTalk 06:12, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
As you can see it wasn't created by me, so I can't answer your first question. I agree about the template. Alæxis¿question? 06:22, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Then I will proceed to fix the problems. Thanks, --KoberTalk 06:26, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Amtkel Lake

My attempt at starting a new article about this lake that is on this projects wanted list has been rejected - see Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Amtkel Lake. If anyone on this project can translate further from the Russian, Georgian or Czech articles you might be able to convince the reviewer it is a notable lake. 88.107.41.1 (talk) 19:29, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

Hi and welcome! I think that the topic is notable, but we need to find sources to establish that. I did a quick search and found the following article which seems very relevant, but at the moment I don't have access to it (on Monday I will):
http://www.springerlink.com/content/h27362172766r375/
This article also seems relevant:

I added the sources and more info to the article, resubmitted it and it was accepted. You can find it at Lake Amtkel. sephia karta | dimmi 11:06, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
