We have a huge body of volunteers, including many newly-joined editors, whom we can ask to be testers as well. It would be great to include them in future user tests in some way; even if it's a "75% of one group, 25% of the other" deal. – SJ + 20:44, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
- Sure, although said volunteers already have vectors to surface issues with the interface. Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 20:47, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
- My point is, there's this framing that current editors/users/volunteers -- including newbies -- are "wikipedians who only understand the editor perspective, not the reder-new-user perspective". So the outcomes of these user tests are presented in opposition to the input via those other vectors. When they could also be seen side-by-side, as answers to the same sets of questions. – SJ + 20:09, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
- Can you point me to this framing, please? Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 22:12, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
