Reorder

[edit]

I think a reorder is in order. I beleive International should be placed above US in this article for the following reasons:

  • Alphabetic: I is before U
  • The size of the US list means you must scroll quite a bit to get to the tiny international list

Perhaps as (if) the international list grows, it should be broken out into individual countries. RP Bravo 02:49, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I decided this list shouldn't be US vs the rest of the world, so I renamed International to Australian (as there were only my Aussie boxes in it anyway) and moved Australia to the top (the list should be alphabetical). RP Bravo 02:58, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More user boxes

[edit]

ROTC JROTC user boxes? ranks or postions such as XO BC S1 and others. i was a COL Battalion commander and well i cant express it here. a user box of this is much appreciated.Maverick423 16:04, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How about a box for DA Civilians?--THE FOUNDERS INTENT TALK 18:32, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There should be boxes for Navy E1–E3 who aren't Seamen. E.g. possible ranks are Airman Recruit, Fireman Apprentice, etc. I think this would also apply to Air Force, but I don't know much about the Air Force. Also, there ought to be boxes for Cadets and Midshipmen who are in the Academies as well as Cadets/Midshipmen in ROTC programs. Probably don't need OCS boxes, since those guys probably don't have much opportunity to edit Wikipedia until they've been commissioned. Barnaclese (talk) 07:11, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

British!! Where's the British!!

[edit]

I wantee British armed forced boxes. There's too much Yankee ones here - don't forget us over the pond!! Even though nobody will use the SAS one so it might have to be 'drooling over a man in SAS uniform'...Lady BlahDeBlah (talk) 17:43, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yup we could use some - feel free to make them yourself! Instructions are at Wikipedia:Userboxes#Constructing_a_userbox - Ahunt (talk) 19:31, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've created some. Sorry not done one for the SAS ;-) --JD554 (talk) 10:22, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

JD554: thanks for finding appropriate free images for those UK mil userboxes. I have used the same images in the Combined Cadet Force userboxes - a great improvement I think! - Ahunt (talk) 12:02, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I just noticed an unfulfilled request for an SAS box above and so I have made one and added it to the list. I consider the box's wording of "This user admires the work of the SAS" to be basically "provisional", so if it doesn't suit, please do amend it. I used the wording so that editors could show their interest in the unit without having to indicate whether they belong to it or not. - Ahunt (talk) 12:27, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

US Marine Corps Userboxes Spelling Error

[edit]

First of all, thank you to whoever made the USMC rank userboxes, but they misspelled "sergeant" as "seargeant." I don't know enough about Wikipedia syntax yet to fix it myself, or whether or not I even could. I'm sure all the Devildogs out there would appreciate someone correcting this. --WineCrab (talk) 05:53, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I figured it out and fixed it myself. Learning is fun.

User boxes with user names

[edit]

I will be removing.--Ron John (talk) 08:13, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I had a look at the boxes you removed and I am not clear what the problem with them was - can you add more information here to explain it? - Ahunt (talk) 11:18, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
